Lily Allen is Expecting Her First Baby

Lily Allen, British pop star, has shared with the press that she will soon become a mom. That will be her first baby.

It has been recently confirmed by scan that the star’s pregnancy has lasted for 3 months already. So, Sam Cooper, the singer’s boyfriend, and the 25-year-old star will welcome their kid only next year.

Lily shares with the Sun newspaper that decorator Sam, who is 32 years old now, and she are totally happy. We know that the couple started their romantic relations last summer.

The couple’s friends and family were informed about the upcoming family arrival at the weekend.

Lily has never hidden her desire to give birth to a child, even in her interview given in May she confessed that she wanted to get pregnant by the end of 2010.

The star added that she wanted to spend at least the first two or three years with her tot in order not to leave it without care. In such a way the singer hinted that she was going to have a break form her pop career. Lily even bought a country house to settle there when the kid is born.

Lily Allen wants to write songs for Lady Gaga

Lily Allen has revealed that she wants to write songs for Lady Gaga.

The Smile hitmaker, announced earlier this year (10) she plans to quit recording and performing live after a string of summer festival dates, has vowed to carry on writing new songs after winning three prestigious Ivor Novello awards.

The singer said that she”s decided to carry on in the music industry – but in a behind-the-scenes role.

“I didn”t realise I was an exceptional songwriter. I still just kind of think my songs are like nursery rhymes – little ditties that I write for myself. I am overwhelmed,” the Daily Star quoted Allen as saying.

“I”m still writing songs all the time and I won”t be writing just for myself anymore. I want to write for Lady Gaga,” she added.

Lily Allen wins three Ivor Novello Awards

British singer Lily Allen has bagged three Ivor Novello Awards.

Her single ‘The Fear’, No1 for four weeks in February last year, won Most Performed Song and Best Song Musically And Lyrically at the songwriters’ bash on May 20.

Allen, 25, and Greg Kurstin, with whom she penned a string of her hits including ‘The Fear’, together won Songwriters Of The Year.

“I didn’t realise I was an exceptional songwriter. I just thought I wrote nursery rhymes – little ditties that I write for myself. I am overwhelmed,” the Sun quoted her as saying.

She wants to establish herself as a hitmaker for hire and has set her sights on adding extra magic to chart-topping acts such as Lady Gaga, whose ‘Just Dance’ was knocked off No1 by ‘The Fear’.

“I’m still writing songs all the time and I won’t be writing just for myself any more. I want to write for Lady GaGa,” she added.

Lily Allen dismisses pregnancy reports

Lilly Allen has dismissed rumours of pregnancy, which sparked after she revealed that she was quitting her pop career.

Following her exit, she had said: “I”d like to have a child within a year. I”d say it will be a minimum of four or five years before I make a record again.”

Also, recently she was spotted with a phantom bump when a gust of wind blew up her top.

However, she has denied all suggestions of pregnancy.

“I’m not pregnant. FYI”, the Mirror quoted her as writing on Twitter

Lily Allen has admitted that she wants to have a baby ‘within a year’.

Last year, the Smile hitmaker declared that she is planning a hiatus from recording and performing live to concentrate on launching a designer clothes hire shop and setting up her own record company.

However, the singer has confessed that there”s another reason for her break from pop – she wants to make babies with her boyfriend Sam Cooper.

“I”d like to have a child within a year. It”ll be a minimum of four or five years before I make a record again. I know what commitment it takes to release an album. I don”t think that mixes well with the idea of settling down and having children, which is ultimately my goal and more of a priority than flying around the world,” the Daily Star quoted her as telling the News of the World.

“I”d want to be really hands-on for the first two or three years of having a little one. I don”t want to leave them,” she added.

Lily Allen, Dizzee Rascal lead nominations for Ivor Novello Awards

Singers Lily Allen and Dizzee Rascal have been nominated for a maximum number of awards at next month’s Ivor Novello Awards for song writing.

Allen, 24, has been nominated for her number one hit ‘The Fear’, which was chosen for best song musically and lyrically and most performed work, reports the BBC.

Dizzee Rascal, 24, is nominated for best contemporary song for Bonkers and best album for Tongue N’ Cheek which he co-wrote with Nicholas Denton.

For the album award, Dizzee Rascal competes with Paolo Nutini, for Sunny Side Up, and The Duckworth Lewis Method’s eponymous cricket-themed concept album.

Dizzee Rascal’s Bonkers is up for best contemporary song against Daniel by Natasha Khan – also known as Bat For Lashes – and In For The Kill by La Roux.

Allen’s The Fear takes on Broken Strings – co-written by James Morrison who duetted with Nelly Furtado on the song – and The Promise, co-written by a team of seven writers and performed by Girls Aloud.

Lily Allen ”to go nude for mag”

Lily Allen is to appear topless on the front cover of Australia”s Harpers Bazaar.

The 24-year-old is planning to launch her collection of designer clothes hire station after wrapping up her singing career.

The front-page photo of Allen is expected to be out in the May edition of the magazine, The Daily Express reported.

In the pic, Lily will be seen naked above her waist, with one arm covering the right side of her chest but her left breast clearly visible.

To avoid any allegations and controversies over the nudity, the image is a painting based on a photo from Allen”s topless shoot for Harper”s Bazaar Russia in January (10).

Lily Allen signs on to star in TV show on her life

Singer Lily Allen has signed up for a TV show that will chart her journey from a pop singer to a shopkeeper as she prepares to open a designer clothes-hire store, called Lucy in Disguise, with her sister.

Camera crews are already following the singer as she puts things in place to launch her own record label.

“Lily was approached about the TV show and thought it would help promote her new ventures as well as letting people get to know her a bit better,” the Sun quoted a source as saying.

Her last foray into TV was her BBC3 talk show Lily Allen And Friends.

Lily Allen smokes during gig

Lily Allen smoked a cigarette onstage, even though she was suffering from a chest infection.

Disregarding the smoking ban, the ‘Smile’ hitmaker lit up at the MEN Arena in Manchester.

However, she apologized to the crowd for off key vocals.

“I”ve got a bout of bronchitis so sorry if my singing”s a bit s**t. Not that it”s any good anyway,” the Daily Star quoted her as saying.

Allen had flouted the smoking ban in Liverpool in December, forcing local authorities to reprimand her.

She was even fined last year for smoking onstage in Paris.

Smoking in public places is banned in both Britain and France since 2007.

Allen is currently in a tour with rapper Dizzee Rascal.

Lily Allen announces fest appearance just months after ”retiring”

Just four months after ”retiring”, Lily Allen has announced a festival appearance.

The 24-year-old, who had previously said that a show with Dizzee Rascal at the O2 Arena would be her last, has signed up to join Jay-Z at London”s Wireless festival on July 4.

The Smile star, who wowed Jay-Z at the Brits, will join the rapper in the show in Hyde Park in a line-up, which also includes Mr Hudson.

The star has been insisting for months that a show with Dizzee Rascal at the O2 Arena would be her last before she concentrates on fashion.

””I was very flattered to hear that Jay-Z wanted me to support him at Wireless and, combined with my dates in March with Dizzee Rascal, I am excited to end my current string of live shows in such prestigious company,”” the Telegraph quoted her as saying.
