Tabloids have been spreading rumors that there are romantic relations between Derek Hough and his dancer partner Cheryl Cole that have been lasing for months, despite the fact that they continue to assure everyone that they are “just good friends.”

Brian Friedman, X Factor choreographer, has recently confirmed that these young people are actually a couple.

Brian had plenty to say after he met both of them in Los Angeles where Cheryl had a bout of malaria and Derek was staying by her side.

It seems that Cheryl Cole, who is currently suffering from malaria, is gradually recovering with the help of one of her new best friends – and the California sunshine.

It has been reported by tabloids that the singer was noticed on Thursday night, when she was touching down at LAX airport. The day before she was noticed by paparazzi for the first time in public, after she learnt that she was ill with malaria.

Derek Hough, the star’s rumoured love interest, was by Cole’s side all the time. This man was known to be helping the woman to cope with her divorce from Ashley Cole.

Cheryl Cole, who is 27 years old, looked happy and relaxed when she was spotted strolling through the airport. She was in an all-in-one denim tracksuit, aviator shades, and sandals. At the same time Derek Hough was following her preserving a discreet distance.

The singer, known for her hit Fight For This Love, confessed that in order to aid her recovery, she had to put on weight. Her doctors advised the star to alter her regular diet and to include roast dinners and beans in her menu.

The stunning singer wants a “clean break” so that she can start her life afresh, reports The Sun.

A source revealed: “Cheryl made a swift decision to put England””s World Cup dreams ahead of herself. The divorce should be finalised before England””s first touch of the ball in South Africa on June 12.

“She knows how vital it is for Ashley to have a completely clear head and concentrate entirely on his football and performance, with no distractions or emotional pulls.

“She wants a completely clean break with no malice or wrangling over property or money. Cheryl will not take one penny of Ashley””s money.

“Crucially, people expected her to request their Surrey mansion as part of the divorce terms. But the house means nothing to her.

“She only moved there because it was important for them to be near Ashley””s training ground. Cheryl is giving the house to him.”

Cheryl””s divorce papers cite the reason for the split as 29-year-old Cole””s “unreasonable behaviour”, the source revealed.

The source added: “She has fully accepted there is no going back after Ashley””s cheating and their marriage breakdown.

“So this divorce will be clean, swift, amicable and smooth. Cheryl has no spite towards Ashley and has been incredibly mature and considered in how she has handled the split.”

Cheryl Cole ‘refusing to sign new £1mn X Factor contract’

Girls Aloud member Cheryl Cole is said to have refused to sign her new 1million pounds X Factor contract until she knows who will replace co-judge Dannii Minogue.

Cole, 26, also wants a promise that her pregnant pal Minogue will not be permanently replaced.

Minogue, 38, will miss out on the auditions stage when it starts next month, and producers plan to have guest judges to fill in for her alongside 50-year-old Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh, 57.

“It’s getting very close to the start of The X Factor auditions and Cheryl has not yet signed on the dotted line,” the Daily Star quoted a show source as saying.

“It would ruin her X Factor experience not to have another ‘girly girl’ like Dannii to laugh and joke with and gang up with against the lads.

“There’s been talk about Mel B whom Cheryl is quite frightened of.

“She is also mindful of the fact any youngsters may try to upstage her in the fashion stakes,” the source added.

All the judges are set for a showdown meeting at Cowell’s London mansion next week, and Minogue, who is back in Australia and due to give birth in July, will join them via a conference call.

The new series of The X Factor is scheduled for August.

Cheryl Cole to be Disney’s next ‘tweenie’ star?

Singer Cheryl Cole is likely to land a deal with Disney, sources say.

The ‘Girls Aloud’ member is apparently being looked upon as a potential big “tweenie” star, following Miley Cyrus, Zac Efron and Selena Gomez.

“Cheryl is the full package. She’s got it all – brains, beauty and a hint of bolshyness,” the Mirror quoted a source as saying.

The source added: “It’s unbelievable the level of interest she stirred up in the Disney Studios following her recent trips to LA, where she was making her recent music video.

“That Parachute video with Derek Hough, who is massive in the States because of Dancing with the Stars, really showed just how graceful and dynamic she can be.

“From her experiences in Girls Aloud, she can also handle the high energy routines, so the plan is to incorporate her in a show.

“It’s early days, but a one-off like Camp Rock would be the way to go.”

Meanwhile, teen sensation Gomez expressed her delight at the prospect of working with Cole.

She told 95.8 Capital: “Oh my goodness, I’d love to work with Cheryl Cole on a Disney show. I’ve just seen that video Parachute. She is beautiful. I’d love to.”

Cops arrest teen over Cheryl Cole rape threat

Police probing into the rape threat against X Factor judge Cheryl Cole have arrested a teenager.

It is alleged that a menacing message was left on the mobile answer phone of show presenter Dermot O’Leary last month.

Police said that a youth from Tunbridge Wells, in Kent, had been arrested and bailed.

“A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of malicious communication and released on bail,” the Daily Express quoted a City of London Police spokesman as saying.

Girls Aloud star Cole, 26, joined ITV’s ratings winner in 2008, a year after O’Leary, 36, joined ‘The X Factor’.

The presenter was reportedly horrified.

“He thought at first it was a sick wind-up, but soon realised there was something more sinister going on,’ said a source.

A red and silver skull ring has replaced Cheryl Cole’s wedding ring.

Cheryl was spotted wearing a large red and silver ring as she chatted with her fans outside her hotel in Paris.

But the ring had disappeared by the time she came to perform live on Vivement Dimanche TV show, reports The Mirror.

She was dressed in a military-style jacket and lace leggings.

She sang Fight For This Love and everybody was dazzled.
