Katy Perry Started Singing In Church

Katy Perry comes from Christian family and started her singing career in the church founded by her parents. In spite of such conservative roots she is quite different now, dressing up in sport latex dresses and bikinis.

Katy’s first songs were ‘Oh Happy Day’ and ‘His Eye Is On The Sparrow’, which she sang being only nine years old.

The singer’s life is far away from her childhood. Still she feels close to her Evangelical Christian parents. After discovering various music bands little Katy understood that there was another interesting life than that she had.

Katy met her fatal man at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2009. It was “Get Him To The Greek” star Russell Brand. In January the couple went to the trip to India and Russell made the proposal to Katy there. It is known that the British actor was addictive to drugs and alcohol dependent in the past and finally he had won the fight and got rid of the abuse.

Katy says her parents get on very well with Russell. He is similar to Katy’s father, they are both very charismatic.

The date of the wedding is still not announced yet.
