George Clooney’s hitman tale “The American” has captured the top spot at the box office with a $16.4 million debut over the long Labor Day weekend followed by “Machete” and “Takers” in the second place with Machete making $14 million and Takers, $13.5 million in the box office.
However the rankings of these two movies might change by tuesday as they are quite a competition to each other.
Since its opening, “The American” has already acclaimed $19.5 million! This seems to be quite a deal for Clooney.
Drew Barrymore seems to have fallen slightly behind everyone with her romantic move “Going the Distance” which has only made $8.6 million till now.
